ACCIDENT ON BAR-LEV ROAD – HIGHWAY 1 IN JERUSALEM
(3/20/08) A woman was lightly injured this morning on the Bar-Lev road – highway 1 in Jerusalem.
She was treated on the spot by volunteers of Hatzolah Israel and was later evacuated by a Magen David Adom ambulance to the hospital.

INFANT BURNED BY BOILING WATER IN JERUSALEM
(3/19/08) A 20-month-old infant was burned when boiling water spilled on his back.
Volunteers of Hatzolah Israel arrived at his house on Shmuel Hanavi street and treated him with Burn Shield bandages.
A Burn Shield is a bandage with a gel composed of more than 90% water and natural ingredients with the power to quickly decrease skin temperature and sterilize the wound. Its beauty is in its simplicity - it can be applied in rough field conditions, by virtually anyone, to effectively treat first- through third-degree burns, reducing healing time, and the need for skin grafting.
The infant was evacuated to the trauma unit of Shaarei Zedek hospital with second -degree burns.
SERIOUS ACCIDENT BETWEEN PRIVATE CAR AND TRUCK
(3/19/08)
A serious accident occurred today on the Bar-Giora – Ein Kerem highway.
A volunteer of Hatzolah Israel arrived quickly and together with the staff of Magen David Adom, gave medical care to the driver of the car who collided head-on with a truck.
He was evacuated in critical condition by Magen David Adom to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.

20-YEAR-OLD GIRL SERIOUSLY INJURED BY CAR IN JERUSALEM
(3/18/08) The girl was struck by a car while she was walking in a cross-walk by the entrance to the Ramot-Polin neighborhood in Jerusalem. She was seriously injured and was given medical care by the volunteers of Hatzolah Israel.
She was evacuated with head wounds to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem.
The car that was involved in the accident was decorated with ribbons clearly indicating that it was on the way to pick up a Chatan or Kalla.
RABBI STABBED TODAY BY SHA’AR SCHEM (DAMASCAS GATE) JERUSALEM
(3/18/08)
Volunteers from Hatzolah Israel gave medical care to Rabbi Yechezkel Greenwald a teacher at Yeshivat Ateret Kohanim. He was stabbed in the neck and was evacuated in moderate condition by an intensive-care ambulance of Magen David Adom to the trauma unit of Hadassa Ein Kerem.
From the first reports it appears that a student was with the Rabbi at the time of the attack and he was able to prevent the attacker from doing any more serious damage.
The Hatzolah Israel volunteer told us, “when I arrived on the scene, the victim was lying on the floor. A police detective had already removed the shirt from the victim and had bandaged the area that was bleeding.”
The police were combing the area to find the attacker. The entire area is covered with security cameras.

4 INJURED IN ACCIDENT IN BEIT SHEMESH
(3/17/08) Yesterday afternoon four people were lightly injured in an accident that occurred on Ben Gurion Blvd in Beit Shemesh. Two of the four were children. The car smashed 5 cement pillars before it came to a stop.
The injured were given medical care by volunteers of Hatzolah Israel.

PEDESTRIAN HIT BY VEHICLE IN ASHDOD
(3/16/08) Today around 5pm an accident was reported on the gal artzi (Hatzolah Israel’s national transmission line) regarding a pedestrian hit by a car.
Two volunteers from Hatzolah Israel raced to the scene and reported that the victim was conscious and was being evacuated to the hospital in moderate condition.
SON OF WELL-KNOWN ROSH YESHIVA IN JERUSALEM CRITICALLY INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
(3/16/08) The accident took place last Friday on Highway 38 near Beit Shemesh. A Mitsubishi that was traveling from Tel Aviv strayed from its lane and struck a Toyota that was traveling towards Jerusalem.
Volunteers from Hatzolah Israel and Magen David Adom treated 13 injured people.
The father of the family in the Toyota, a son of a well-known Rosh Yeshiva from Jerusalem was in critical condition. Two were seriously injured, three were injured intermediately to seriously, and the rest (children) were lightly injured.
All the injured were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem and Shaarei Zedek hospitals.
KASSAM ROCKETS CONTINUE TO FALL IN SDEROT
(3/13/08) Hatzolah Israel volunteers are being kept very busy with the kassam rockets falling in Sderot.
Luckily, there have not been any injuries so far today.
We pray that things should return to normal very soon both in Sderot and all over Israel.
NEW BRANCH OF HATZOLAH ISRAEL IN SDEROT
(3/12/08) A new branch of Hatzolah Israel was established yesterday in Sderot. Seven volunteers that were trained by Magen David Adom joined the Hazolah Israel family.
Members of the city council, Rabbis, representatives of Chabad in Sderot, head of Hatzolah Israel, donors, and members of the media were present at the ceremony. Also the head of logistics for all the equipment from Hatzolah Israel, Yaakov Goldhaver, the head of the ambucycles, Azriel Weiss, and the head of all the volunteers of Hatzolah Israel, Eliyahu Gotlevsky, were present.
The paramedics received equipment including resuscitation equipment, glucometers to measure blood sugar, communication equipment (mirs), bullet-proof vests, and helmets.
Rav Yaakov Friedman who arrived from Moscow said, “when I saw and heard about the kassam rockets that kept hitting Sderot recently, I cried for a long time. I decided I had to do something.”
David Greenwald, head of Hatzolah Israel spoke at the ceremony. He said that Hatzolah Israel is continuing to expand. He plans to establish more branches all over the south and specifically in the areas close to Aza.
Rav Zev Moshe Pizam, the manager of the Chabad House in Sderot also spoke at the ceremony that took place in the Chabad House. He was happy to host the ceremony and felt that this will certainly help to save lives in this city that is constantly attacked by kassam rockets.
Yosi Yifrach, one of the managers of the “moked artzi” the national transmission line of Hatzolah Israel, explained how to use the mirses, the new communication equipment. He also explained how the “moked artzi” operates.
The new volunteers expressed their thanks to David Greenwald, head of Hatzolah Israel, and to the generous donors, both for the new equipment that they received and for the opportunity they were given to help save lives in Sderot.
Today the volunteers were already busy when more kassam rockets struck Sderot. Luckily, no one was hurt in this attack.
